Manhattan Travelers Safe Haven (+Annex)

The Traveler’s Hotel was established in 1997 and provided temporary shelter and services to individuals from outreach programs in the Times Square/Midtown area. In 2007, “The Travelers” became the “Travelers’ Safe Haven and Annex,” to better identify it as a DHS-funded safe haven providing housing and comprehensive services to single adults who were chronically homeless and who presented multiple barriers to stability and long-term housing. The Travelers’ Safe Haven and Annex houses 55 single adults and provides intensive case management and supportive services to engage program participants and start them on their journey to stability and a home of their own.
