Our continuum of services ranges from Street Outreach to Permanent Supportive Housing, creating pathways home for thousands of New Yorkers who are experiencing or at-risk for homelessness every year.
What we DoWe use a housing first approach in our work, meeting each person where they are, and providing housing and support tailored to their unique needs.
What is Housing First?
Today’s homelessness crisis stems from a persistent shortage of safe and affordable housing options. At Urban Pathways, we believe that every person experiencing homelessness, regardless of their housing background or personal history, is ready for immediate housing placement and can attain stability with person-centered case management and support.
Embracing a housing first methodology, we tailors our services to effectively address the needs of those we serve and the broader New York City community. This approach is centered around our belief that having a secure and affordable home is essential for each person. By integrating housing with personalized support, we empower those we work with to improve various facets of their lives, including their physical health, mental well-being, substance use, and employment prospects.
