On the evening of May 12, 2022 we hosted our Annual Gala at The Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. More than 250 guests joined us in-person for the first time since 2019 to celebrate the great strides our clients make every day towards independence, stability, and wellness.

This year, we recognized three esteemed Honorees who have made a significant impact on Urban Pathways and the lives of our clients. Keith Berger, Esq., Dechert LLP, and Music Kitchen have been pivotal to the success of our organization and have changed the lives of countless individuals experiencing homelessness in New York City.

Our Gala video, which can be viewed below, explored the journeys of two of our clients, Andy and John, as they moved from homelessness to permanent supportive housing with the help of Urban Pathways’ dedicated staff.

CNN anchor Bill Weir led the program, which included an enthusiastic pledge drive and silent auction guided by Harry Santa-Olalla. Due to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, and guests, we raised over $684,000! These funds go directly towards programs that provide housing and services to more than 1,000 of New York City’s most vulnerable adults every day.

To end the evening, each guest went home with a “Caring Neighbor” gift bag filled with items that homeless individuals request the most: socks, a healthy snack, and personal hygiene products. Also included was an outreach card with information on how to reach Urban Pathways and other local services for help. Guests were encouraged to pass the bag along to someone in need.
